The essential features of a folding chair having a seat with a backrest and legs crossed in pairs and two outer armrests supported on supports, connected to this backrest, are that the seat and the main part of the backrest consist of a number of flat elements resembling boards, which are arranged, in each of these parts of the chair, with a small constant gap between them, wherein all the flat elements of the seat are of the same length and are connected to supporting beams, essentially cuboid and rounded at the front, connected to the legs of the chair, and the flat elements of the main part of the backrest are surrounded by a frame formed by the upper crossbar of this backrest and the upper sections of both front legs of this chair, while the legs are connected at the bottom by pairs of crossbars of rectangular cross-section, wherein the flat elements of the seat have rectangular in shape and are arranged in the perpendicular direction of the chair, overlapping the supporting beams on both sides, and the flat elements of the main part of the backrest have a predominant shape similar to elongated and inverted isosceles trapezoids, with arms directed slightly towards the center, and two extreme elements in the shape of a right-angled triangle, and all these flat elements of the backrest are arranged in a mirror arrangement in relation to the axis of symmetry of the chair, while the upper crossbar of the frame, situated between the upper sections of both front legs, has a shape similar to a rectangle and is in contact with the larger bases of the trapezoidal flat elements of the main part of the backrest, and the crossed legs have the shape of alternately bent bows with a rectangular cross-section, with the front inner legs having a downward bend and the rear legs the outer ones are bent upwards, and the armrests connected to the backrest, supported by supports, have the shape of wavy beams with gently rounded ends and a lateral outline resembling the shape of a flattened sinusoid, the length of which corresponds approximately to the length of the supporting beams of the flat seat elements, and the vertical supports have the form of cuboid beams with semicircular rounded ends, and form a connection with these armrests in the shape of the letter T.
