Abstract

Anordning og metode for å detektere overflatedefekter på en artikkel, hvilken artikkel er frittstående på et transportbånd, hvilken anordning og metode frembringer profilspordata tilsvarende profilsporet ved et tverrsnitt til artikkelen. En overflatefasonginspeksjonsenhet innbefattende et optisk avstandsmålesystem med anvendelse av laser og kamera blir tilveiebrakt for ervervelse av profilspordataene gjennom trianguleringsbaserte utledningsteknikker. Grunnlagsreferansekurver blir utledet fra jevne deler av profilspordataene. Profilspordataene blir sammenlignet med defektterskelkurver for å gjenkjenne et defektforårsaket avvik av spordataene med hensyn til grunnlagsreferansekurven og for å frembringe et defektutgangssignal. Anordningen og metoden i henhold til oppfinnelsen er spesielt nyttige for detektering av ruhet, hulrom, vankant, manglende tremateriale og endret treverk på trelaststykker, hvilke trelaststykker blir forflyttet med høy hastighet.
