Abstract

Oppfinnelsen omfatter en tretrinns svitsjeenhet (1), som omfatter et antall innkommende grupperelaterte ledere (2), hver gruppe forbundet til et første svitsjetrinn (3), formet som en inngangskrets, et antall utgående grupperelaterte ledere (4), hver gruppe forbundet til et andre svitsjetrinn (5), formet som en utgangskrets og et tredje svitsjetrinn (6). En styreenhet (10) samvirker med nevnte svit- sjetrinn for å forbinde en av nevnte innkommende ledere (2a') med en valgt utgående leder (4a') ved hjelp av en forbindelseslinje, pekt ut gjennom nevn- te mellomliggende tredje svitsjetrinn (6). Hver av de utgående lederne, som tilhører nevnte første svitsjetrinn (3), samvirker med en elektro-optisk omformer. Respektive forbindelser (3a'') mellom det første svitsjetrinnet (3) og det tredje svitsje- trinnet (6) består av en optisk leder. Det tredje svitsjetrinnet (6) tilpasses for å overføre optiske informasjonsbærende signaler gjennom nevnte forbind- elseslinje. Forbindelsene (6a'') mellom det tredje svitsjetrinnet (6a) og det andre svitsjetrinnet (5) består av optiske ledere og innkommende ledere, som tilhører nevnte andre svitsjetrinn, er forhåndsfor- bundet ved hjelp av en opto-elektrisk omformer.
