Det beskrives peptider som kan absorberes av epitelcellebelegget i et pattedyr hvilket i resulterer i en modulert immunrespons og derved en terapeutisk effekt mot sykdom. | Videre beskrives preparater som inneholder slike peptider og anvendelser derav. Peptid fra 4 aminosyrer opp til ca. 30 aminosyrer. ; Peptideter i form av i en dimer hvor det andre peptidet i dimeren er bundet til det første peptidet gjennom ' svovel-til-svovel bindinger mellom nevnte i det minste to cysteinaminosyrerester i det første peptidet og i det minste to cysteinaminosyrerester i det andre peptidet.
