Abstract

Katalysator inneholdende et oversjikt av en katalytisk aktivator på en porøs ild- fast bærer som inneholder et undersjikt med en bestanddel av metall fra gruppe VIII. Katalysatoren fremstilles ved trinnvis innlemmelse av metallet fra gruppe VIII, fulgt av en ytterligere katalytisk aktivatorbestanddel, vanlig- vis et metall fra gruppe VIB, på den porøse ildfaste oksidbærer. Nikkel- bestanddeler i undersjiktet på kata- lysatoren kjennetegnes ved et Raman- spektrum som viser Raman-bånd i områdene 240-250 cm'1 og 595-605 cm'1. Katalysa- toren har et vektforhold Mo03/NiO på mindre enn 6:1 og inneholder mer enn 4 vekt% NiO. Katalysatoren tilberedes ved først å fremstille et kalsinert partik- kelformet stoff som inneholder en metallbestanddel fra gruppe VIII og et ildfast oksid, og deretter tilsette en aktivator, så som en metallbestanddel fra gruppe VIB, og deretter rekalsinere slik at det oppnås et partikkelformet stoff. Foretrukne aktivatorer er molybden- og fosforforbindelser. Den foretrukne sammensetning er Ni-P-Mo-oksider på alumina. Katalysatoren er anvendelig ved samtidig hydrodenitrogenering og hydro- desulfurering av gassolje, særlig når den ildfaste oksid-bærer har porer med smal størrelsesfordeling.
