Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for detektering av pin-hull i strengstøpte metallemner, særlig strengstøpte stål- og aluminiumemner. Strengstøpte metallemner transporteres kontinuerlig forbi en symmetrisk lyskilde bestående av et flertall enkeltlyskilder anordnet i sirkel eller på annen måte slik at lyset faller tilnærmet symmetrisk inn på den del av overflaten av metallemnet som skal detekteres, slik at overflaten av den del av det strengstøpte metallemne som vender mot lyskilden opplyses, mens pin-hull vil forbli uopplyst. Reflektert lys fra overflaten av det strengstøpte metallemne detekteres ved hjelp av et linjescankamera anordnet sentralt i forhold til lyskilden og som har en scanningsretning vinkelrett på bevegelsesretningen for metallemnet. Pin-hull i metallemnet detekteres ved registrering av en reflektert lysintensitet under en valgt terskel verdi.
