Abstract

Optiske interferens-strukturer inneholdende porøse filmer. Disse strukturene er istand til å utvise en farge ved interferens-effekter forårsaket av interferens av reflektert lys fra forskjellige sjikt i strukturen. I hovedsak består strukturene av et reflektivt substrat (10), en porøs transparent dielektrisk film (11) på substratet og minst et halv-transparent sjikt båret av den porase dielektriske filmen. Strukturen er slik at det er minst to reflektive overflater separert av et optisk tynt porast sjikt av den dielektriske filmen. Disse strukturen kan fremstilles ved flere fremgangs-måter, men den mest anvendelige medfarer pores anodiser-ing av et substrat-metall (10) (f.eks. aluminium) og danne den dielektriske filmen (11) og deponering av et halv-transparent metallsjikt (12) inne i porene eller på filmens overflate. Strukturene kan fremstilles rimelig og de er istand til å utvise sterke, og om onskelig dikroiske farger. Filmens porase natur kan også utnyttes til å danne fargeendringer.
