Description
Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører utfelt absorberende silika og blandinger på basis av dette silika.
Det er velkjent å kondisjonere væsker på en silikabærer. Formålet med denne kondisjonering er å omdanne en væske som ikke kan håndteres eller er vanskelig å håndtere til risledyktig pulver som lett kan lagres, f. eks i sekker, og som også lett kan dispergeres såvel som blandes med andre finfordelte faste bestanddeler.
Blandingene som således oppnås: væske absorbert på en silikabærer, er i den etterfølgende tekst kalt kondisjonerte blandinger.
Blandingene bør ha et økt innhold av aktivt material såvel som en høy densitet. De bør også lett kunne håndteres noe som medfører en god risleevne og liten støvdannelse. Disse forskjellige krav er noen ganger i strid med hverandre. Disse egenskaper er selvfølgelig imidlertid knyttet til typen silika som anvendes som bærer.
Et første formål med den foreliggende oppfinnelse er å fremstille et absorberende silika med forbedret kvalitet.
Et annet formål med den foreliggende oppfinnelse er fremstillingen av en kondisjonert blanding med økt densitet, forbedret risleevne og redusert støvdannelse.
I denne forbindelse har det utfelte silika i henhold til oppfinnelsen følgende egenskaper: BET-overflate på minst 17 0 m<2>/g;
oljeopptak (DOP) mellom 220 og 300 ml/100 g;
rystevekt på minst 0,29;
midlere partikkeldiameter mellom 80 og 150 um;
indeks for kornstørrelsesfordeling på høyst 0,70.
Man har kunnet konstatere at takket være de egenskaper om er nevnt over, utgjør silikaet i overensstemmelse med oppfinnelsen en bærer som er særlig godt tilpasset væskene.
Selvfølgelig vedrører oppfinnelsen også en kondisjonert blanding på basis av en væske adsorbert på bæreren omfattende det utfelte silika som definert over.
Ytterligere egenskaper og fordeler med den foreliggende oppfinnelse vil bedre fremkomme fra beskrivelsen og eksempe-lene som følger.
Silikaet som er angitt i det foregående har disse særlig interessante egenskapene takket være kombinasjonen av egenskaper som vil bli omtalt mer detaljert i det følgende.
Først og fremst har nevnte silika en BET-overflate på minst 170 m<2>/g, særlig minst 210 m<2>/g. Spesielt kan denne BET-overf late særlig være mellom 170 og 400 m<2>/g eller 210 og 400m2/g.
BET-overflaten bestemmes i henhold til BRUNAUER-EMMET-TELLER-metoden som er beskrevet i The Journal of the American Chemical Society, vol 60, side 309, februar 1938 og i henhold til normen NF T45007 (5.11).
En annen egenskap for silikaet i overensstemmelse med oppfinnelsen er dets oljeopptak. Dette oljeopptak (DOP), bestemt i henhold til normen NFT 30-022 (mars 53) ved anvendelse av dioktylftalat, er mellom 220 og 300 ml/100 g, særlig mellom 220 og 280 og mer spesielt mellom 240 og 280 ml/100 g.
Dets densitet er minst 0,29. Det dreier seg om rystevekten (DRT) i overensstemmelse med normen AFNOR nr 030100. Densiteten kan mer spesielt være mellom 0,29 og 0,4 og særlig mellom 0,29 og 0,36.
Til slutt er kornstørrelsen også en viktig egenskap for silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen.
Denne kornstørrelse er slik at den midlere partikkeldiameter d5Qer mellom 80 og 150 um, mer spesielt mellom 90 og 130<y>m.
Kornstørrelsen bestemmes ved tørrsikting i henhold til normen NF XII.507.
I tillegg er kornstørrelsesfordelingen for silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen ensartet. Dette kan angis ved en fordelings-indeks (I.D) på høyst 0,70, mer spesielt høyst 0,6. Denne indeks tilsvarer til forholdet (d84 - dl6)/2d50 hvori dn er den diameter hvori n % av partiklene er mindre enn denne diameterverdi.
I henhold til de mer spesielle utførelsesformer av den foreliggende oppfinnelse, kan silikaet ha ytterligere egenskaper.
Silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen har generelt en pH mellom 4 og 8 og særlig mellom 5,5 og 7. Denne pH er bestemt i henhold til normen NFT-45007 (5.5).
I tillegg, har silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen for-trinnsvis et glødetap på høyst 13 % fra produktet som sådan og på høyst 6 % fra det tørre produkt (norm NFT 45007 (5.3)).
Silikaet kan fremstilles ved enhver kjent metode, som ved reaksjon av et silikat med et surgjørende middel, f. eks en uorganisk syre av typen karbonsyre, svovelsyre eller saltsyre. Man kan således anvende prosedyrene med tilsetning av syre til en og samme silikatbeholder eller med total eller delvis samtidig tilsetning av syre og silikat i en og samme beholder av vann, eventuelt med tilsetning av salt eller silikatløsning.
Man kan også fordelaktig gjennomføre en etterbehandling, dvs innføring av en silikatløsning og/eller en syre i reaksjonsblandingen etter en første utfelling.
Etter filtrering av reaksjonsmassen oppnås en filterkake som eventuelt vaskes. Kaken oppdeles generelt deretter for tørking.
Ved oppdeling og eventuelt hvilket som helst av de tidligere trinn i fremgangsmåten for fremstilling av silika, er det interessant å tilsette til filterkaken eller til reaksjonsblandingen, en aluminiumforbindelse som gjør suspensjonen mindre viskøs og lettere pumpbar. Det henvises til fransk patent nr 2.536.380.
Man går foretrukket frem under slike betingelser at filterkaken særlig etter at den er i oppdelt tilstand før tørking har et glødetap på høyst 77 %, foretrukket høyst 75 %.
Det skal bemerkes at denne verdi for glødetap kan oppnås ved tilsetning av på forhånd tørket silika til filterkaken, særlig ved dens oppdeling.
Tørkingen av filterkaken for å oppnå sluttproduktet kan gjennomføres ved hjelp av ethvert kjent middel, som f. eks ved forstøvning og mer spesielt med en turbinforstøver.
Silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen passer særlig bra for kondisjonering av væsker og således ved fremstilling av kondisjonerte blandinger.
Et stort antall væsker kan påføres på bærer. Man kan f. eks nevne de organiske syrer, de overflateaktive midler av anioniske type anvendt som detergenter som sulfonatene eller av ikke-ionisk type som alkoholene eller fenolene; vulkani-seringsakseleratorene og antioksydasjonsmidlene for gummi-industrien.
Mer spesielt kan man også nevne væskene som anvendes som næringstilskudd til mennesker og dyr.
Spesielt nevnes vitaminene og i denne kategori vitaminene A, B, C, D, E og K.
I gruppen av B-vitaminene kan spesielt nevnes cholin og dets derivater, særlig cholinhydroklorid.
Adsorpsjonen av væske på silikabæreren kan gjennomføres på en i seg selv kjent måte, f. eks ved forstøvning av væsken på silikaet i en blander.
Mengden absorbert væske skal være en funksjon av den tilsiktede anvendelse. Silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen tillater oppnåelse av blandinger med et væskeinnhold som kan passere 5 0 vekt%, særlig opptil 7 0 % og f. eks mellom 5 0 og 60 %.
På generell måte, gir silikaet i henhold til oppfinnelsen økt densitet, en svært god risleevne og redusert støvdannelse til de kondisjonerte blandinger. Som eksempel, for det spesielle tilfellet med blandinger på basis av vitaminer, særlig vitamin E og cholinhydroklorid, kan DRT for blandingene være minst 0,60, mer spesielt 0,65 og likeledes minst 0,70.
Rasvinkelen for blandingene (i henhold til normen NFT 20-221) er høyst 32°C. Støvdannelsesindeksen for de samme blandinger er mindre enn 2, og til og med mindre enn 1.
Denne måling av støvdannelse kan gjennomføres i et apparat som beskrevet i fransk patent nr 87.03159.
Apparatet er koblet til et system med konstant mikrostrøm som omdanner motstandsvariasjonen for den fotoelektriske spenningscelle til grafisk fremstilling i form av en topp på en tabell som er gra<n>dert fra 1 - 100 mV. mV-verdien for toppen gir støvdannelsesindeksen (IP).
For sammenligning, gir blandinger av samme type men på kjente silikabærere en IP på minst 3.
Blandingene kondisjonert med vitaminer gir foretrukket en kornstørrelsesfordelingsindeks som definert over på høyst 0, 55.
I det følgende er det gitt konkrete eksempler.
EKSEMPEL 1
Dette eksempel vedrører fremstillingen av absorberende silika i henhold til oppfinnelsen.
Svovelsyre tilsettes i en og samme beholder av natriumsilikat i forholdet 3,5 ved en temperatur på 7 0°C. pH i den dannede silikapulp reguleres til 5. Pulpen filtreres deretter og den fuktige oppnådde filterkake vaskes og oppdeles deretter.
Ved oppdeling tilsettes silika som på forhånd er tørket slik at man oppnår en oppdelt filterkake med et glødetap på 7 5 %. pH justeres deretter til 6,0.
Den oppdelte filterkake tørkes ved forstøvning. Man oppnår et silika med følgende egenskap:
EKSEMPEL 2
Silikaet i eksempel 1 anvendes som bærer for vitamin E.
Påføringen av vitaminet på bæreren gjennomføres i en blander med et volum på 7 liter som roterer med 20 T/min med en indre akse som roterer med 1.900 T/min, og som er utstyrt med tverrplater som forstøver vitaminet og hvorpå det er festet knivmøller.
Alt silikaet som er beskrevet over fylles i blanderen hvoretter vitaminet forstøves over silikaet. Man blander i 15 minutter hvoretter man homogeniserer i to ytterligere minutter.
Vitaminet innføres ved en temperatur på 7 0°C og en ved en konstant tilførsel på 100 ml/min.
Ved endt blanding, er vektmengdene 46 vekt% SiC>2 og 54 vekt% d,1-alfa-tokoferolacetat.
Man oppnår en blanding med følgende egenskaper:
EKSEMPEL 3
Dette eksempel beskriver fremstillingen av et annet absorberende silika i henhold til oppfinnelsen. Man går frem som i eksempel 1. På slutten av reaksjonen fortsetter man med en ytterligere behandling idet man i reaksjonsblandingen innfører en løsning av natriumsilikat og svovelsyre.
Kaken vaskes og oppdeles og man tilsetter silikaet som på forhånd er tørket slik at man oppnår et glødetap av den oppdelte kake på 74 %. Til kaken tilsettes også natrium-aluminat (4.000 ppm i vektdeler i forhold til vannfritt silika) som gjør den oppdelte suspensjon lettere pumpbar. pH justeres til 6 og suspensjonen tørkes som i eksempel 1.
Det oppnådde silika har følgende egenskaper:
EKSEMPEL 4
Man gjennomfører en påføring på bæreren som i eksempel 2, men med cholinhydroklorid på silikaet fra eksempel 3.
Vektmengdene i den endelige blanding er som følger: 60 vektdeler av en 40 % vandig cholinhydrokloridløsning, 40 deler silika, 0,3 deler tilsetningsstoff (magnesiumstearat).
Blandingen har følgende egenskaper:
EKSEMPEL 5 ( sammenlikning)
Som bærer anvendes et silika fra la Société RHONE-POULENC med varebetegnelse Tix-O-Sil 38A og med følgende egenskaper:
Man fremstiller en blanding på basis av vitamin E under de samme betingelser som i eksempel 2 og som har følgende egenskaper:
Man konstanterer at i forhold til eksempel 1, har denne blanding en alt for liten risleevne og støvdannelsen er for stor.
Claims (14)
1. Utfelt silika,
karakterisert ved at det har følgende egenskaper:
BET-overflate på minst 17 0 m <2> /g;
oljeopptak mellom 220 og 300 ml/100 g;
rystevekt på minst 0,29;
midlere partikkeldiameter mellom 80 og 150 um;
indeks for kornstørrelsesfordeling på høyst 0,70.
2. Silika som angitt i krav 1,
karakterisert ved at dets BET-overflate er minst 210 m <2> /g og mer spesielt mellom 210 og 400 m <2> /g.
3. Silika som angitt i krav 1 eller 2, karakterisert ved at oljeopptaket er mellom 220 og 280 ml/100 g.
4. Silika som angitt i krav 1-3, karakterisert ved at dets pH er mellom 4 og 8.
5. Kondisjonert blanding,
karakterisert ved at den omfatter en væske absorbert på en bærer omfattende et utfelt silika med følgende egenskaper:
BET-overflate på minst 170 m <2> /g,
oljeopptak mellom 220 og 300 ml/100 g;
rystevekt på minst 0,29;
midlere partikkeldiameter mellom 80 og 15 0 um;
indeks for kornstørrelsesfordeling på høyst 0,70.
6. Blanding som angitt i krav 5, karakterisert ved at silikaet har en BET-overf late på minst 210 m <2> /g og mer spesielt mellom 210 og 400m2/ g.
7. Blanding som angitt i krav 5 eller 6, karakterisert ved at silikaet har et oljeopptak mellom 220 og 280 ml/100 g.
8. Blanding som angitt i krav 5 - 7, karakterisert ved at silikaet har en pH mellom 4 og 8.
9. Blanding som angitt i krav 5 - 8, karakterisert ved at den ovennevnte væske er et vitamin.
10. Blanding som angitt i krav 9, karakterisert ved at den ovennevnte væske er valgt fra gruppen bestående av vitaminene A, B, C, D, E og K.
11. Blanding som angitt i krav 9 eller 10, karakterisert ved at den ovennevnte væske er cholinhydroklorid.
12. Blanding som angitt i krav 9-11, karakterisert ved at den har en rystevekt på minst 0,60, mer spesielt minst 0,65.
13. Blanding som angitt i krav 9-12, karakterisert ved at den har en rasvinkel på høyst 32°.
14. Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av et silika av typen som angitt i krav 1-4,
karakterisert ved at man tørker en utfelt kake med et glødetap på høyst 77 %.
