Abstract

Fremgangsmåte og arrangement for reduksjon av dreiningsmotstanden for propellen (3) på et skip (1) som går i is, når isen aker direin-ingshastigheten for propellen til et nivå som er høyere når skipet går i åpen sjø. Når dreiningsmotstanden øker, blir gass tilført propellen (3) og gassforsyningen blir justert når dreiningsmotstanden blir forandret. Gassforsyningen kan være kontinuerlig, men som regel er den brukt bare i kortere perioder for å korrigere dreiningshastigheten for propellen til en passende stør-relse .
