Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a Prairie propeller (air bubble injection blade) with ease by a cnstruction wherein a propeller is comprising by securing a tubular section suited for the leading edge of a propeller at the leading edge.
CONSTITUTION: The wide spaced slant lines of a Prairie propeller indicates the blade cross section of a Prairie propeller 7. The leading edge 7c of a Prairie propeller forms the shape suited to the leading edge of the propeller, which is formed by welding the tubular section 11 made of the same material as the propeller with the propeller body. Air bubble injected from a number of air injection holes 8 perforated in the hollow section, namely, an air passage 1a, and the propeller surface is covered with the film of an air bubble in order to shut out the cavitation noise.
