Abstract

Det er beskrevet en ny fremgangsmåte til å fremstille entakapon som omfatter å reagere 3,4-dihydroksy-5nitrobenzaldehyd med N,N-dietyl-2-cyanoacetamid i nærvær av en katalysator i en C4-8-alkohol ved redusert trykk og ved en temperatur på minst 70 °C, avkjøle blandingen til en temperatur på 30 °C eller lavere, tilsette til blandingen kimkrystaller av N,N-dietyl-2cyano-3-(3,4-dihydroksy-5-nitrofenyl)akrylamid som omfatter minst 10 vekt % av Z-isomeren, avkjøle blandingen til en temperatur på 5 °C eller lavere, isolere det krystalliserte produkt og konvertering av den oppnådde blandingen av E- og Z-isomerer av N,Ndietyl-2-cyano-3-(3,4-dihydroksy-5-15 nitrofenyl)akrylamid til E-isomeren (entakapon).
