Abstract

En fremgangsmåte og et apparat for automatisk korrigering av frekvensen av en lokal oscillator av en mottaker. En primær, felles pilotkanal (CPICH) kodesekvens, CPICH kodegenerator basert på et referansecelle identifikasjonssignal og et rammestart signal. Den mottatte avspredte CPICH kodesekvens blir brukt for å generere et estimert frekvensfeilsignal. En styrespenningsgenerator basert på det estimerte frekvensfeilsignal genererer et styrespenningssignal. CPICH kodegeneratoren genererer CPICH kodesekvens basert på signaler mottatt fra en høyhastighets, nedlink, pakkeaksess (HSDPA) betjeningscelle når HSDPA er aktiv, eller en tidsreferansecelle når HSDPA ikke er aktiv. Oppfinnelsen oppnår en full maksimal forholdskombineringsforsterkning når rom-tids overføringsdiversitet (STTD) blir brukt, selv uten å ha mottatt en overføringsdiversitetsindikasjon.
