Abstract

Det tilveiebringes en ny medisinsk anvendelse av 2-fenyl-1,2-benzisoselenazol-3-(2H)-on eller et salt derav. 2-fenyl-1,2-benzisoselenazol-3-(2H)-on eller et salt derav viser en utmerket preventiv og forbedrende effekt i korneale forstyrrelsesmodeller og er derfor nyttig som et preventivt eller terapeutisk middel mot en keratokonjunktival forstyrrelse som tørt øye, overflatisk punktat keratopati, korneal epiteliale defekter, korneal erosjon, korneal ulcer, konjunktival epiteliale defekter, keratokonjunktivitis sicca, superior limbisk keratokonjunktivitis, filamentær keratokonjunktivitis, keratitt eller konjunktivitt.
