Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for polymerisering av etylen eller av etylen med ytterligere 1-olefiner, hvori etylenet polymeriserer i nærvær av en katalysator i en gassfasereaktor og reaksjonsgass omfattende propan og upolymerisert etylen sirkuleres for å fjerne polymerisasjonsvarme, hvori polymerpartiklene fjernes kontinuerlig eller diskontinuerlig fra reaktoren, polymerpartiklene separeres fra hovedandelen av den samtidig fjernede gass og polymerpartiklene avgasses, gassen befris for medrevne fine partikler og separeres fra en lavtkokende fraksjon omfattende etylen eller fra en høytkokende fraksjon inneholdende ytterligere 1-olefiner eller alkaner med fra 4 til 12 karbonatomer i et første separasjonstrinn, en propanfraksjon separeres i et andre separeringstrinn og denne propanfraksjon anvendes for deavgassing av polymerpartikler fjernet fra reaktoren, idet mengdeandelen av etylen i propanfraksjonen er mindre enn 1 mol% og mengeandelen av 1-olefiner og alkaner med fra 4 til 12 karbonatomer i propanfraksjonen er mindre enn 4 mol%, i hvert tilfelle basert på den totale propanfraksjon.Videre beskrives et apparat for gjennomføring av fremgangsmåten. På denne måte muliggjøres en høy varmefjerning fra reaktoren, tilfredsstillende avgassing av de uttatte polymerpartikler og gjenvinning av reaksjonsgassen tømt ut sammen med polymerpartiklene og også gassen anvendt for avgassing av polymerpartiklene.
