Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører konsentrerte vandige oppløsninger av heksasulfonert stilben optiske hvitemidler som er lagringsstabile i fravær av solubiliserende midler slik som urea. Ved fjerning av salter resulterende fra fremstillingen av det optiske hvitemiddel kan man oppnå en konsentrasjon på opp til 0,350 mol/kg uten å tape lagrings-stabilitet. Det reduserte vanninnhold muliggjør bestryk-ningsblandinger som krever mindre tørkeenergi og som viser mindre vann- og bindemiddelmigrering inn i papiret.
