Abstract

Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for å oppnå fettsyrealkylestere, kolofoniumsyrer og steroler fra råtallolje (CTO), som er kjennetegnet ved følgende trinn: (a) omsetning av de frie fettsyrene til stede i CTO med lavere alkoholer; (b) forestring av sterolene i CTO med borsyre eller ttansforestring med katalysator; (c) separering av fettsyrelaverealkylesteme og kolofoniumsyrene fra de gjenværende sterolboratesteme eller sterolesteme av fettsyrer for å fremstille en sttøm av sterolestere; (d) separering av fettsyrealkylesteme fra kolofoniumsyrene for å danne en første strøm av fettsyrealkylestere og en andre sttøm av kolofoniumsyrer; og (e) omdanning av nevnte sterolestere til de fiie steroler for å frembringe en ttedje sttøm av fiie steroler.
