Abstract
Metode og apparat for å utføre bevegelsesestimering i digitale videosystemer som fremvist i fig. 1 spesielt fremviser den foreliggende oppfinnelsen et system som raskt beregner estimerte bevegelsesvektorer på en svært effektiv måte (fig. 1, enhet 160). I én utførelse blir en første multiplikator bestemt ved å multiplisere en første displaytidsforskjell mellom et første videobilde og et andre videobilde med en potens av toerskalaverdi (fig. 1, enheter 150, 160). Dette trinnet skalerer opp en nummerator for et forhold (fig. 1, enhet 120). Deretter bestemmer systemet et skalert forhold ved å dividere den skalerte nummeratoren på en første displaytidsforskjell mellom det andre videobildet og det tredje videobildet. Det skalerte forholdet blir så lagret. Ved å lagre det skalerte forholdet, kan alle de estimerte bevegelsesdetektorene bli beregnet rask med god presisjon siden det skalerte forholdet lagrer signifikante bits og redusering av skalaen blir utført ved enkle skift.
