Abstract
Sammensetninger for reduksjon av gassfasereduserte nitrogenforbindelser og NOx generert under en krakkingprosess ved delvis eller ufullstendig forbrenning, fortrinnsvis en fluid katalytisk krakkingprosess, bekjentgjøres. Sammensetningene omfatter (i) et surt metalloksid som inneholder i hovedsak ingen zeolitt, (ii) et alkalimetall, alkalijordmetall og blandinger derav, (iii) en oksygenlagringskomponent, og (iv) en edelmetallkomponent, fortrinnsvis rhodium eller iridium samt blandinger derav, bekjentgjøres. Fortrinnsvis anvendes sammensetningene som separate additivpartikler som sirkuleres sammen med den sirkulerende FCC-katalysatorbeholdningen. Reduserte utslipp av gassfasereduserte nitrogenforbindelser og NOx, i en utslippsavgass fra en FCC-regenerator under delvis eller ufullstendig forbrenning sørger for en total NOx-reduksjon etter som utslippsgasstrømmen føres fra FCC-regeneratoren til en CO-kjel, hvorved, etter hvert som CO oksideres til CO2, en mindre mengde reduserte nitrogenforbindelser oksideres til NOx.
