Abstract

Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer isolerte og minst delvis rensede dicamba-nedbrytende enzymer, isolerte DNA-molekyler som koder for dicamba-nedbrytende enzymer, DNA-konstruksjoner som koder for dicamba-nedbrytende enzymer, transgene vertsceller omfattende DNA som koder for dicamba-nedbrytende enzymer og transgene planter og plantedeler omfattende én eller flere celler omfattende DNA som koder for dicamba-nedbrytende enzymer. Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer videre et transit-peptid for anvendelse i en DNA-konstruksjon omfattende slike dicamba- nedbrytende enzymer som målsøker nevnte dicamba-nedbrytende oksygenase til organeller i en plantecelle. Ekspresjon av de dicamba-nedbrytende enzymene resulterer i produksjonen av dicamba-nedbrytende organismer, omfattende dicamba-tolerante planter. Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer videre en metode for å kontrollere ugress i en åker inneholdende de transgene dicamba-tolerante plantene ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse og en metode for å rense et materiale inneholdende dicamba omfattende å tilføre en effektiv mengde av en transgen mikroorganisme eller dicamba-nedbrytende enzym(er) ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse til materialet.
