Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører oppvarming av melallstrimler eller andre oppviklbare metalltrådobjektcr til en forhøyet temperatur, hvor metallobjektet blir fort inn i en varmeseksjon (5) gjennom et ovnskammer (1 7) som er laget minst delvis av et isolerende og elektrisk ikke-ledende materiale samtidig som det blir oppvarmet ved tverrgående fluksinduktansoppvarming (TFIH) ved hjelp av tverrgående fluksinduksjonsvarmcelementer (15. 16) som befinner seg utenfor kammeret som inneholder en beskyttende ikke-oksiderende gass eller gassblanding. Oppfinnelsen er kjennetegnet ved at metallobjektet er et rustfritt stålobjekt som har blitt kaldvalset til en svært høy grad av ovcrflalereflektivitet. at det kaldvalsede rustfrie stålobjektet blir fort gjennom ovnskammeret og blir oppvarmet i kammeret til en behandlingstemperatur mellom 700 og 1200"C. at det kaldvalsede rustfrie stålobjektet blir holdt på denne temperaturen mellom 700 og 1200"C i så lang tid at stålet kan rek rysta) lisere fullstendig, og at det varmebehandlede metallobjektet så hurtig blir avkjolt direkte fra behandlingsemperaturcn. i en lufttett kjoleseksjon (6. 27) som ikke-oksiderende gass blir fort gjennom, til en temperatur lavere enn 600"C.
