Description
Oppfinnelsen vedrører anvendelsen av N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid til beskyttelse av trevirke mot sopp.
Fra tysk patent 12 38 139 er det kjent sulfamider samt N,N-dimetyl-N'-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid som middel mot mugg- og bakterieangrep av påstrykninger og kunststoff-
overtrekk. De mikrobizide midler innarbeides i påtryknings-
stoffene eller i kunststoffene.
Ved den mikrobizide appretering av tre er det vanligvis ikke
mulig å innarbeide et fast virksomt stoff i treet. Det er der-
for generelt vanlig å formulere det virksomme stoff med et opp-løsningsmiddel og å påføre det på treet. (Chemie der Pfanzen-
schutz- und Schadlingsbekampfungsmittel, bind 4, side 257-72,
Springer Verlag 1977).
Virkningen av N,N-dimetyl-N'-fenyl-N'-(fluor-diklormetyltio)-
sulfamid mot trebeskadigende sopp omtales i "Holz als Roh-
und Werkstoff, 35 (1977) 233-237". N,N-dimetyl-N'-fenyl-N"-(fluor-diklormetyltio)-sulfamid oppløser seg imidlertid meget dårlig i de for trebeskyttelsesmiddelet vanlige formulerings-
midler, således at det er nødvendig rr.ed store formulerings-middelmengder for å bringe den nødvendige mengde av virksomt stoff på og/eller i treeet.
N-N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N<1->diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid er et
nytt middel til bekjempelse av trebeskadigende sopp, som over-
raskende er meget godt oppløselig i organiske oppløsnings-
mideler således at dets anvendelse som virksomt stoff i treim-pregneringsmidler er mulig uten vanskeligheter og med fordeler.
Som oppløsningsmidlerfor det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinn-
elsen skal det nevnes de i treimpregneringsmiddelet vanligvis
anvendte oppløsningsmiddel (Ullmann> bind 8, side 553, 1957).
Eksempelvis skal det nevnes: jordolje- og bensinfraksjoner som prøvebensin, videre oppløsningsformidlere, som etylacetat og xylen. Fortrinnsvis skal det nevnes blandinger av aromatiske
o
hydrokarboner (kp. 150-180 C) og bensinfraksjoner (kp 140-200°C).
Det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen oppløses vanligvis i i mengder fra 0,35 til 3,5%, fortrinnsvis fra 1,5 til 3% i opp-løsningsmiddelet.
Den uventet gode oppløselighet av det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen i de for treimpregneringsmiddel vanlige oppløs-:ningsmidler, har til følge at det nødvendige anvendelsesvolum
er lite. Derved faller den lille toksisitet av det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen spesielt i øynene. I motsetning til
kjente virksomme stoffer som anvendes eller foreslås til bekjempelse av beskadigende sopp, f.eks. pentaklorfenol, virker det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen hverken kumulerende eller perkutant toksisk.
;Fremstillingen av N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyl-tio-sulf amid er kjent (fransk patent 1310083) og kan eksempelvis foregå ved omsetning av N,N-dimetyl-N<1->p-tolyl-sulfamid med fluordiklormetansulfonylklorid.
N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid er virksomt overfor trebeskadigende sopp som Ceratocystis piceae, Ceratocystis pini, Ceratocystis coerulenceus, Chaetomium globosum, Coniophora cerebella, Coriolus versicolor, Lentinus tigrinus og Poria vaporaria.
Formuleringen av det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen foregår på vanlig måte, eksempelvis ved innrøring av det virksomme stoff i formuleringsmiddelet.
Selvsagt er det mulig å kombinere det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen med andre virksomme stoffer. Foretrukket er kombi-nasjoner med benzimidazolyl-metyl-karbamater, tiazolylbenzimi-dazol, sinkdimetylditiokarbamat, tetrametyltiuramdisulfid, N-nitroso-cyklohexyl-hydroksylamin, N-cyklohexyl-N-metoksy-2,5-dimetyl-3-furamid.
Eksempel 1
Bestemmelse av den minimale hemmekonsentrasjon (MHK):
En agar, som fremstilles av ølkrydder og pepton, blandes med
det virksomme stoff ifølge oppfinnelsen i konsentrasjoner på 2 mg/l. Etter agarens stivning foregår kontaminasjonen med ren-kulturen av de i Tabell 1 oppførte prøveorganismer. Etter 2
ukers lagring ved 28°C og 60-70% relativ luftfuktighet be-
stemmes MHK. MHK er den laveste konsentrasjonen av virksomt stoff, hvor det ikke foregår noen vekst på grunn av den anvendte mikrobetype, hvilket er angitt i følgende tabell 1:

Oppløselighet i vekt-% av N,N-dimetyl-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluor-metyltio-sulf amid (A) sammenlignet til N,N-dimetyl-N'-fenyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid (B) og N-diklorfluormetyltio-ftalimid (C).
Eksempel 3
Toksikologiske undersøkelser med N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid.
N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid oppløst i aceton har etter en gangs administrering ved hjelp av sluk-sonde på hannrotter en LD5Q pr. os> 2500 mg/kg legemsvekt. Beregning av LD5g foregikk ved hjelp av probitanalyse (Fink et al., Methods of information in medicin, 5, 19, 1966).
Sammenligningsstoff:
Pentaklorfenol; LD50 Pr- os l60 mg/kg legemsvekt rotter (Caines, Toxycology and Applied Pharmacology 14, 515, 1969).
Den kutane behandling av hannrotter med N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid viste at N,N-dimetyl-N'-p-tolyl-N'-diklorfluormetyltio-sulfamid perkutant er like så lite toksisk som det kjente N,N-dimetyl-N<1->fenyl-N<1->diklor-fluormetyltio-sulfamid, LD5Q kutan er større enn 500 mg/kg. Derimot virker pentaklorfenol perutant toksisk; LD^q kutant 325 mg/kg.
