Abstract

A crate of synthetic material having a bottom and standing walls with corner profiles and bottle supporting elements, eliminates the problems of these containers. In conventional crates uneven or undersize walls deflect badly, whilst thicker walls, apart from using much more material have the disadvantages of slower prodn. times and built in temp. stresses which shorten their life. The circumference of the cross-section of this crate, increases from the top edge downwards to a maximal value and then diminishes again towards the bottom. The corner profiles have the form of barrel staves, and with these thinner walls can be used without stiffening ribs.
