Abstract

The tape applicator, can be used in a film instrument, where the film is fed in steps from a supply to a take-up system. The instrument consists of a housing, a central shaft for the feed spool, with a spring-loaded compensator arm. The film is fed to the take-up via a compensator roller. The film (24) is kept at a constant tension by a number of springs (25, 26) connected in series. There is also a brake (15), which functions as drive belt. The free end of the spring system is connected to the compensator arm.
