Abstract

The fire-resistant door frame is in two parts, each composed of profiled metal sections in the shape of the frame, each with an outer flange fitting in or over the wall and also an inner flange. The inner flanges of the two parts are held apart by distance pieces and spot-welded together at the latter. The walls of one part form a door stop edge, and with the other part a groove for a sealing wall. The distance pieces are loose plates (15), each spot-welded at two points at least to one inner flange, and at two other points at least to the other. The spot-welds are spaced apart in a direction at right angles to the lengthwise direction of their respective flanges.
