Abstract

1436412 Partition walls, door MANTEN CO Ltd 1 Aug 1973 [26 Sept 1972 8 Nov 1972] 36651/73 Headings E1J and E1W A partition wall comprises a stud 20 formed as a hollow element having a longitudinally extending peripheral .aperture with opposed walls 24 projecting from the longitudinal edges of the aperture inside the hollow element and a jointing cover strip 26 with an acute angled camming entry portion 29 fitting between the walls 24 in the aperture and having flanges 28 which clamp a panel 27 in position. The hollow element may be formed as a stud fixed between floor and ceiling channels. The partition may be formed of two opposed panels 27 or by a single solid panel clamped between the lateral flanges 28 and lateral flanges (44) Fig. 14 (not shown) projecting from the edges of the opposite rear face of the stud 20. A special section stud, see Fig. 9 (not shown) may 'be used to provide a door frame.
