Abstract

1453353 Vehicle doors CHRYSLER UNITED KINGDOM Ltd 18 Nov 1974 [10 Jan 1974] 01267/74 Headings B7J and B7B A vehicle door comprises an outer skin 17, end walls 18 and a reinforcing box-section beam 19 secured through the end walls to a hinge member 15 and a catch element 29. The beam consists of inner members 22, 23 having flanges 24, 25 welded together and outer members 20 having flanges 21 welded to the inner flange 24. The inner members are secured to the outer members by adhesive 26 and the outer member is secured to the skin by adhesive 27. End plates 28 are welded to the outer members.
