Abstract

The technique described in patent 69 12313 is improved to give a wall panel, which, to correspond with present day requirements has outstanding ornamental and insulating qualities combined with light weight. As previously, at pitches corresp. to the breadth of the stones or tiles for facing, strips of rubber are laid in the mould bottom under some tension and the tiles or stones are placed between them. Short lengths of rubber are placed between the tiles and tension is relaxed so that there is some sealing. A thin layer of concrete is cast on to the stones and plates of synthetic foam are placed on the concrete and bonded by latex cement. A fairly thick layer of light concrete is cast on to the foam plates possibly with a reinforcement, and the panel is finished. Anchors of synthetic material stand on the tiles or stones and the foam layer is compressed to tie front and rear layers together.
