Abstract

The insulated concrete floor slab block is prefabricated from a base layer of concrete (1). Sealed packs (2) filled with insulating balls (6) rest on the top of the base layers. They are enclosed in plastics and form a thermal and sound-proofed layer which is covered by a bituminous sheet (3). A concrete screed (4) is cast onto the bituminous sheet and provides a smooth and hard wearing finish to the block. The blocks are intended for mass production using moulds, and they are of a standard size and shape.
