Abstract

Two stage mfr. of precast insulated building cladding panel, of an internal plaster layer (9) and an external cement layer (7) with an expanded polystyrene granule and concrete central layer (8), embodies the prior casting of the latter two layers (8) & (7) in one operation followed by the later casting of the plaster (9). A rich mix of concrete incorporating expanded polystyrene granules is prepared and poured into the mould, resulting in a gravitational segregation during the setting period whereby the denser grout forms a bottom layer (7) and the grout bound lighter granules form a top layer (8). After the initial pour units are hot air cured and finally the plaster layer (9) placed.
