Abstract

The packing is particularly in the form of a cardboard box, whose sides and top sections are formed by flaps joined onto the base. These are folded over and joined together by lugs fitting in recesses. The upper edge of each flap is folded inwards of form a supporting surface, and the corners of the sides are secured to the top sections by gluing. Thus when the box is folded flat the portions of the upright edges extending inwards remain joined to the flaps forming the top surface of the box.
