Abstract

Rotor can rotate freely on the end of an arm, whose other end pivots on a rod orthogonal to the axis of the machine's stator, to occupy selectively a working position, in which it is releasably locked and in which the rotor and stator cooperate, or an inspection position in which they are disengaged. The rotor is driven by a multiplying belt drive via a small pulley integral with the rotor and a large loose pulley on a shaft carried on the arm near the rod. The large pulley is integral with a 3rd, pref. smaller pulley which contacts a drive belt parallel to the rod when the arm is in working position. When the arm is in inspection position, the 3rd pulley is remote from the belt.
