Abstract
Element consisting of thin glass layer contg. essentially Te, V and O only and two electrodes fixed to the opposite surfaces of the glass layer, is activated by the application of an electric field of more than 5 x 104V/cm. The element has negative resistance with monostable current-potential relationship; and can be used in d.c. and a.c. circuits as well, because the current potential curve is symmetrical with respect to the polarity of the electric field applied.
