Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere al uso de mezclas particulares de LLDPE y LDPE junto con condiciones de fabricacion especificas para hacer hojas espumadas da calibre delgado con propiedades de desgarre MD similares a una hoja no espumada de calibre equivalente de la misma composicion. En particular , la mezclas que combinan una fraccion rica en LLDPE de MI alto con una faccion menor de LDPE ramificado de MI bajo, proporcionan el balance adecuado de fuerza mecanica de la base de polimero con su fuerza de fusion, capacidad de extension y relajacion de tension, permitiendo una pelicula de espuma delgada con fuerza de rasgado MD que es comparable con contrapartes no espumadas de calibre y composicion similar. Las peliculas espumadas de la presente invencion son delgadas (generalmente desde aproximadamente 0.00254 hasta 0.0254 cm (1 hasta 10 mil ) de espesor) y tienen una fuerza de rasgado MD de al menos aproximadamente 160 gramos para una pelicula de 0.00762 cm (3 mil ) segun se mide mediante ASTM D 1922. las peliculas espumadas de la presente invencion estan hechas de preferencia al menos en parte a partir de mezclas que comprenden desde 10 hasta 95 por ciento en peso de LLDPE , teniendo un MI relativamente alto (1.5 a 6) y desde 5 hasta 90 por ciento de una resina de LDPE teniendo un MI relativamente bajo (0.5 a 2.0).
