Abstract

La presente invencion esta dirigida a homopolimeros y copolimeros de mono-1-olefinas, un metodo para elaborar dichos polimeros, y a los usos de dichos polimeros. Los polimeros de la presente invencion se forman poniendo en contacto por lo menos una mono-1-olefina que tenga desde 2 hasta 20 atomos de carbono aproximadamente por molecula y por lo menos un comonomero de mono-1-olefina que tenga desde 2 hasta 10 atomos de carbono aproximadamente por molecula en una zona de reaccion bajo condiciones de polimerizacion en presencia de un diluyente de tipo hidrocarburo, un sistema catalizador y un cocatalizador. El sistema catalizador de la presente invencion comprende una fuente de cromo sobre un soporte de aluminofosfato el cual tiene una relacion molar de fosforo a aluminio menor de 0.3 aproximadamente. Ademas, el sistema catalizador se trata con menos del 7 por ciento en peso aproximadamente de fluoruro tomando como base el peso del soporte y se calcina. Los cocatalizadores se seleccionan a partir de compuestos de trialquilboro, compuestos de triarilboro, compuestos de alquilaluminio, y combinaciones de los mismos. En otro aspecto de la presente invencion, se emplean copolimeros de etileno para producir tubo PE-100. Estos copolimeros se forman poniendo en contacto etileno con por lo menos un comonomero de mono-1-olefina que tenga desde 2 hasta 10 atomos de carbono aproximadamente por molecula en una zona de reaccion bajo condiciones de polimerizacion en presencia de un diluyente tipo hidrocarburo, un sistema catalizador, y un cocatalizador. De manera adicional los comonomeros se pueden seleccionar a partir de mono-1-olefinas que tengan de 4 a 10 atomos de carbono, tales como 1-hexeno, 1-buteno, 4-metil-1-penteno, 1-octeno, y 1-deceno. Ademas, estos copolimero de etileno se pueden emplear para producir tubo PE-100 que tenga tanto diametros pequenos como diametros mayores de 106.68 cm sustancialmente sin pandeo o alguna otra deformacion ocasionada por la fuerza de gravedad. Se describe copolimeros de etileno y 1-hexeno los cuales se utilizan para producir tubo PE-100.
