Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a una bateria bipolar, especialmente una bateria de HMNi, que tiene, un alojamiento sellado, una terminal de extremo negativa, una terminal de extremo positiva, y al menos un montaje de biplaca que comprende una biplaca, un electrodo positivo y uno negativo. Un separador se arregla entre cada electrodo positivo y negativo que forma una celda de bateria, el separador incluye un electrolito. Una barrera interna de un material hidrofobico se arregla alrededor de al menos un electrodo, por lo cual la barrera interna previene una trayectoria de electrolito desde una celada a otra celda, y una estructura esta presente para proporcionar el espacio de celda predeterminado entre cada biplaca y/o biplaca y terminal de extremo. La estructura se une de tal forma a cada biplaca para permitir que el gas ambiente pase entre las celdas adyacentes, por lo cual se crea un espacio de gas comun para todas las celdas en la bateria. La invencion tambien se refiere a un metodo para manufacturar una bateria bipolar.
