Abstract

Una cubierta del colector de admision de aire moldeado por co-inyeccion, comprende una capa de cubierta interior y exterior separadas por un nucleo aislante del sonido o absorbente del sonido. Cada capa de cubierta esta compuesta de una resina de poliamida que, opcionalmente, contiene refuerzo de fibra de vidrio y rellenos de alta densidad relativa tales como sulfato de bario o tungsteno. El nucleo aislante del sonido esta compuesto de un material de alta densidad que tiene una estructura de espuma, tal como una resina de poliamida. Las capas de cubierta se proporcionan con una pluralidad de bolsas para permitir la distribucion de masas apelotonadas o abultadas localizadas en localizaciones predeterminadas disenadas a la medida para incrementar las perdidas de transmision del ruido. Tambien se proporciona una cubierta del colector de admision de aire de una sola capa que tiene un espesor no uniforme. El espesor de la cubierta del colector de admision del aire de una sola capa es mayor sobre las fuentes de ruido preseleccionada de amplitud mas grande para maximizar la atenuacion del ruido para un espesor nominal de la cubierta del colector de admision de aire.
