Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a la bioproduccion de difosfato de isopentenilo dentro del latex del arbol del caucho, Hevea brasiliensis. La sintesis del difosfato de isopentenilo (IPP) a partir del acetato es mediada por un conjunto de enzimas codificadas por seis genes aislados como los ADNcs de la etiqueta de la secuencia expresada (EST) del latex de Hevea brasiliensis. Ademas, una secuencia de la variante de una de estas enzimas, la acetil-coA acetiltransferasa, ha sido encontrada.
