Abstract
La invencion incluye un sistema y metodo para cambiar la velocidad de regrabacion de un segmento de video seleccionado que tiene una estructura de marco progresivo el cual se ha grabado sobre una porcion de un medio de almacenamiento. Un segmento de video seleccionado se puede modificar para una velocidad de regrabacion cambiada y el segmento de video modificado se puede grabar exclusivamente sobre la porcion del medio. Se pueden suprimir una pluralidad de paquetes que no son de video en el segmento de video seleccionado para reducir la cantidad de datos contenidos en el segmento de video modificado. De manera alternativa, se puede reducir la resolucion de por lo menos un marco en el segmento de video modificado. El segmento de video puede contener marcos interiores y no interiores y se pueden modificar al agregar por lo menos una imagen. De manera alternativa, el segmento de video se puede modificar para eliminar por lo menos una imagen. El segmento de video tambien se puede codificar para un modo de trucaje sin interrupciones perceptibles y un funcionamiento de regrabacion.
