Abstract

Esta invencion se relaciona con un metodo para la proteccion en contra de la corrosion de partes de acero hechas de acero austenitico o semi-austenitico durante la produccion de acido sulfiirico. Para mejorar la resistencia contra la corrosion de las partes de acero que estan en contacto con el acido sulfurico, se propone el uso de acero austenitico o semi-austenitico que tiene un contenido de Cr de 15% en peso hasta 36% en peso y un contenido de Ni de 9% en peso hasta 60% en peso; y en donde la proporcion de elementos quimicos (Cr + Si)/(Ni + Mo) se encuentra en el intervalo de 0.9 a 1.9, o en donde la relacion de los elementos quimicos Cr/(Ni + Mo) se encuentra en el intervalo de desde 0.8 hasta 1.5, y proveer adicionalmente a esta parte de acero con una proteccion anodica contra de la corrosion.
