Abstract

Se describe un dispositivo de iluminacion con lamparas en los bordes. El dispositivo tiene por lo menos una fuente (13, 14) de luz y un elemento (10) de transmision de luz que tiene por lo menos una superficie (12) de salida de luz y por lo menos un borde de entrada de luz sustancialmente perpendicular a la superficie. La fuente (13, 14) de luz se localiza adyacente al borde de entrada de luz de manera que la luz de la fuente (13, 14) de luz entra al elemento (10) de transmision por medio del borde de entrada y se propaga a traves del elemento. Por lo menos una superficie (2) de salida de luz presenta una rugosidad uniforme en su superficie. La superficie (11) del elemento opuesta a la superficie (12) de salida tiene un patron de elementos de difusion de luz sobre el mismo. Tambien se describe un metodo para producir un elemento de transmision de luz para un dispositivo de iluminacion.
