Abstract
Se describen metodos y aparatos para desalinizacion de agua salada (y purificacion de agua contaminada). El agua salada (o contaminada de otra manera), se bombea a una instalacion de desalinizacion y hacia abajo, a la base de una columna de fraccionamiento de desalinizacion, en donde se mezcla con un gas o liquido formador de hidrato para formar un hidrato flotante positivamente (tambien de empuje hidrostatico asistido) o flotante negativamente. El hidrato asciende o se hunde o es transportado a un area de menor presion y se disocia (se funde) en el gas y agua pura. En las modalidades preferidas, el agua salada residual la cual es calentada por calor generado durante la formacion del hidrato se remueve del sistema para crear una derivacion hacia el enfriamiento total conforme el hidrato se disocia endotermicamente a profundidades menos profundas, y se hace pasar el agua que entra a traves de regiones de disociacion en una relacion de intercambio de calor en la misma de manera que se enfria lo suficiente para que se forme el hidrato a una presion de profundidad. El agua fresca producida por el sistema es lo suficientemente fria de manera que puede ser utilizada para proporcionar refrigeracion, acondicionamiento de aire u otra refrigeracion; el calor removido del sistema con el agua residual calentada se puede utilizar para calentar o para otras aplicaciones. En otras modalidades, la desalinizacion u otra purificacion se lleva a cabo "por artefactos" o en recipientes presurizados mecanicamente, modalidades las cuales pueden ser comparativamente moviles. Tales sistemas presurizados se pueden utilizar para retener dioxido de carbono de los gases de desperdicio industriales y para proporcionar dioxido de carbono liquido.
