Abstract
La invencion se refiere a la reduccion y prevencion de la bioincrustacion en instalaciones que utilizan agua, por ejemplo, agua de mar, que tiene organismos biologicos, sin que provoquen corrosion, reaccion química u otra accion perjudicial del aditivo o problemas de descarga ambientales. Estas operaciones incluyen por ejemplo, plantas de desalinizacion, plantas de energía, instalaciones de inyeccion de agua en campo de petroleo y sistemas de agua contra incendio en embarcaciones o plataformas en el océano. Por ejemplo, en la planta de desalinizacion de la Figura 12, el método y aparato de reduccion de bioincrustacion de esta invencion tiene una fuente de agente oxidante (por ejemplo, iones de cloro u ozono), una fuente de iones de cobre y una cámara de dosificacion (21) para distribuir niveles de dosis relativamente bajos de los agentes oxidantes y en tiempos apropiados iones de cobre para formar un aditivo de tratamiento.
