Abstract
Se describe una tubería de metal (11) y un método para formar la misma con un revestimiento formado integralmente, para uso en ambientes corrosivos y abrasivos, que utiliza un revestimiento interno, formado de un polímero (16) comparativamente grueso, el cual se adhiere térmicamente a la tubería de metal (11). Una capa (80) de polímero/adhesivo, intermedia se aplica a la tubería de metal (11) para facilitar la adhesion térmica/química. La capa intermedia (80) se aplica de preferencia al metal laminar (11) en un proceso de pretratamiento, antes de la formacion mediante laminado de las nervaduras o aletas (12) al metal laminar (11). El revestimiento de polietileno (16) se aplica después que la tubería se ha formado, para proveer una superficie lisa, hidráulicamente eficiente. La cual es resistente a la accion corrosiva del ácido sulfurico y los semejantes que se encuentran en las aplicaciones sanitarias, también como a la abrasion provocada por el flujo de desechos transportados por agua tales como tierra y grava, como se encuentran en aplicaciones de desagüe.
