Abstract
Se obtienen éteres de ácidos grasos iodados, ácidos grasos iodados y derivados estables de grado farmacéutico fluidos de los mismos mediante la iodohidrinacion en un medio orgánico empleando derivados alquilsililados, por ejemplo, cloruro de trimetilsililo o bien trimetilclorosilano, que reaccionan con un ioduro alcalino como, por ejemplo, ioduro de sodio, después de lo cual se forma un ácido iodhidrico in situ meidante exposicion al agua y el ácido inhidrico reacciona, por ejemplo, con ésteres de ácidos grasos y particularmente ésteres metílicos de ácidos grasos de aceite de semilla de colza que pueden emplearse como combustible biologico para motores de gasolina para proporcionar un producto de bajo costo; y se emplean terapéuticamente, particularmente para el tratamiento del bocio relacionado con una deficiencia de iodo.
