Abstract
Un sistema de calentamiento e induccion para la union por fusion, particularmenteutil en el sellado de cables o cierres de telecomunicaciones, comprende un material de union compuesto que tiene una matriz y susceptores de union, los susceptibles de union son magnéticamente reactivos a una frecuencia superior a 50MHz, y un aplicador que aplica la energía electromagnética al material de union compuesto, a una frecuencia superior a 50MHz (preferiblemente de 75-500 MHz). El aplicador puede tener la forma de un resonador de un cuarto de onda que tiene un conductor interno y un conductor externo el cual al menos parcialmente circundan al conductor interno, los 2 conductores se cierran a un externo comun. El material que se calienta se coloca entre los conductores. El conductor interno puede incluir u tubo del resonador el cual capacitivamente se conecta al suministro de potencia por una sonda capacitiva conectada al conductor central de un conector coaxial.
