Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un recubrimiento de conversion altamente resistente a la corrosion y fuertemente adherente a la pintura que se forma sobre la superficie de sustratos metálicos aluminíferos al poner en contacto estas superficies durante 0.5 a 60 segundos con baño de tratamiento de superficie con base acuosa y libre de sedimentos que tiene un pH de .15 a 4.0 y que contiene un compuesto de zirconio, compuestos de ácido fosforico, agente oxidante y un compuesto que es una fuente de fluoruro de hidrogeno (en una cantidad que produce una concentracion de HF desde 0.00001 a 0.2 g/l en el baño de tratamiento). Este contacto de preferencia es seguido por un enjuague con agua y el secado.
