Abstract

Una composición líquida acuosa de conversión a base de fosfato que tiene sumamente inhibida la capacidad de generación de sedimentos, para eltratamiento de la superficie de metales aluminíferos la cual posee un pH que oscila entre 1.5 y 4.0 y por comprender agua y: (A) por lo menos un compuestode ácido fosfórico, (B) por lo menos un compuesto de circonio, (C) por lo menos un agente oxidante, y (D) por lo menos un compuesto fuente de fluoruro dehidrógeno, en una cantidad que produzcauna concentración total de fluoruro de hidrógeno en la solución acuosa que oscile entre 0.0001 y 0.2 g/L. Se describe,también un proceso para la formación de un recubrimiento de conversión de protección sobre un sustrato de aluminio que consiste en poner en contactodicha superficie con la composición descripta anteriormente durante un período de entre 0,5 y 60 segundos seguido de un enguaje y secado opcionales.
