Abstract

Un proceso y catalizador para la hidrogenacion directa de ésteres carboxílicos, el cual comprende poner en contacto y hacer reaccionar uno o más ésteres con hidrogeno bajo condiciones de hidrogenacion en fase líquida predominantemente en presencia de un catalizador que comprende un compuesto de cobre, un compuesto de zinc y al menos un compuesto seleccionado del grupo que consiste de aluminio, circonio, magnesio, una tierra rara y mezclas de los mismos, preparado mediante la calcinacion de esos compuestos a una temperatura en el intervalo de 200 a menos de 400 degree C.
