Una composicion catalítica para reducir los contenidos de oxidos de nitrogeno en un gas que tiene alto contenido en oxígeno, esta composicion se basa en al menos un elementos seleccionado del tantalio, vanadio, niobio y antimonio, o se basa en al menos un elemento seleccionado del tantalio, vanadio, niobio, antimonio y cobre, y al menos otro elemento, seleccionado del zinc y los elementos de los Grupos IIIB, IVb, y Vb de la Tabla Periodica, o que comprende el cobre y al menos otro elemento seleccionado del Grupo VIa de la Tabla Periodica.
