Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un volante de masas gemelas (10, 110) que comprende dos masas de volantes dispuestas coaxialmente (11, 11, 12, 112) que están montadas para una rotacion angular limitada en una direccion de impulsion y de sobre paso relativas entre sí, y una pluralidad de acoplamientos de pivoteo (40, 140). Cada acoplamiento de pivoteo comprende un primer acoplador (41, 141), conectado pivotalmente a una de las masas del volante, un segundo acoplador (42, 142) conectado pivotalmente a la otra masa del volante y un pivote (45, 145) conectado pivotalmente al primero y al segundo acoplador. La accion de los acopladores controla la rotacion relativa de las masas del volante y la accion controladora de los acopladores es complementada por uno o más resortes de asistencia (80, 180) que operan sobre una proporcion significativa de todo el rango de direccion de impulsion de rotacion relativa. El volante de masas gemelas puede incluir adicionalmente topes terminales (70, 91OR, 130OR, 910, 130D) para limitar positivamente la rotacion de las masas del volante en las condiciones de impulsion y de sobre paso y puede incluir adicionalmente medios elásticos de tope terminal (85) que amortiguan la rotacion relativa de las masas del volante justamente antes del contacto de los topes terminales.
